Aftercare
How you care for your work in the first two weeks decides how your healed result looks for the next year. Follow these instructions closely — and reach out if anything looks off.

Do not pick, scratch, or peel any flaking skin during healing. Let it shed on its own. Pulling flakes off pulls pigment with them and creates patchy spots that will need correction.
Brows — Nano & Microblade
The first 24 hours
Every 30 – 60 minutes for the first 6 hours, gently blot the brows with a clean, damp cotton round to lift any lymph fluid. This prevents heavy scabbing. Do not soak — just dab.
Days 1 – 7 (the healing window)
- Apply a rice-grain-sized amount of the provided healing balm twice daily with a clean cotton swab
- Keep brows dry — no swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or steam rooms
- When washing your face, avoid the brow area; use a damp cloth around it
- Sleep on your back if you can; if you're a side sleeper, use a clean pillowcase
- No makeup on or around the brows
- Skip the gym for 3 – 5 days — sweat slows healing
Days 4 – 10 (the flaking phase)
Brows will flake. They may also look like the color is disappearing. This is normal. The pigment is settling underneath the surface and will re-emerge in weeks 2 – 4. Do not apply makeup to fill in any patchy spots during this time.
Weeks 2 – 4
Color will return softer than day one. By week 4, you'll see your true healed result. Resume normal skincare, avoiding direct exfoliants, retinol, AHAs, and BHAs on the brow area for 30 days.
Long-term
- Apply SPF 30+ on brows daily — UV is the fastest way to fade pigment
- Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and laser treatments directly on the brows
- Plan a refresh appointment every 12 – 18 months
Lip Blush
The first 24 hours
Blot lips with a clean tissue every 15 – 20 minutes for the first 4 hours to lift fluid. Apply the healing ointment lightly and frequently — lips dry out quickly.
Days 1 – 7
- Drink water through a straw for the first 48 hours
- Apply healing balm 4 – 6 times daily; lips should never feel dry
- Eat soft, mild foods — no spicy, acidic, salty, or hot foods or drinks for 72 hours
- No kissing, oral activity, or sharing utensils during healing
- Skip toothpaste contact with lips — brush carefully and rinse well
- No swimming, saunas, or heavy sweating
- Reschedule any dental work for at least 2 weeks after
Days 3 – 7 (the peeling phase)
Lips will peel like a sunburn and color may appear to vanish. Do not pick. The color blooms back at week 2 – 4 as new skin reveals the settled pigment.
Weeks 2 – 4
Color softens to its true tone — typically 30 – 50% lighter than day one. This is the result you'll live with.
Long-term
- SPF lip balm every day; sun fades lip pigment quickly
- Avoid retinol, AHAs, and aggressive exfoliants on the lip area
- Refresh every 18 – 24 months
Eyeliner
The first 24 hours
Mild swelling is expected. Use a clean, cold compress for 10 minutes every hour as needed for the first 4 – 6 hours. Sleep slightly elevated to reduce morning puffiness.
Days 1 – 7
- Gently rinse the eye area in the shower, but do not soak or scrub
- Apply the provided ointment with a clean cotton swab twice daily
- No eye makeup, mascara, or false lashes for at least 10 days
- No contact lenses for 24 – 48 hours; switch to glasses if you can
- No swimming, saunas, or heavy sweating
- Avoid rubbing your eyes — rubbing pulls flakes off prematurely
Days 4 – 7 (the flaking phase)
Tiny flakes will shed along the lash line. Do not pick. Color may appear lighter or splotchy during this phase — wait for the touch-up.
Weeks 2 – 4
Liner softens to its final shade. Lash line may feel slightly itchy as it heals; this passes.
Long-term
- Daily SPF on the eye area; sunglasses help protect color
- Use oil-free eye makeup remover — oil breaks down pigment
- Refresh every 2 – 5 years depending on style and skin type
Lash Extensions
First 24 hours
- Keep lashes completely dry — no water, steam, or sweat
- Avoid touching the lash line
- Skip the gym, hot showers, and saunas
Daily care
- Cleanse lashes once daily with a lash-safe foaming cleanser and a soft brush
- Brush through with a clean spoolie each morning
- Skip oil-based makeup removers, oil-based moisturizers near the eyes, and waterproof mascara
- Sleep on your back when possible to avoid crushing
Maintenance
Book fills every 2 – 3 weeks to refresh shed lashes. After 4+ weeks without a fill, you'll likely need a full set instead.
When to call us
Reach out same-day if you notice:
- Significant swelling that worsens after 48 hours
- Pus, yellow or green discharge, or a foul smell
- A spreading rash, hives, or fever
- Severe pain that gets worse rather than better
None of this is common — but if anything feels wrong, message us. We'd rather take a look at a photo and reassure you than have you worry alone.
